May 2, 2012: Echo Mountain by Vum.
Vum is an art rock/psych/prog/minimal synth band from L.A. I don’t know much about them other than that their second (and newest) album, Night Sun, was playing in a bar I was just at, and it was really good. Oh, and Henry Rollins says, “I recommend it.” Check out this amazing psychedelic track from Night Sun.
VUM POSTER NOW AVAILABLE: Hand silkscreened, 11”x 17” poster (edition of 50), featuring original artwork by Christopher Badger. Comes with free download of “Night Sun” by VUM.

Neotomic: Music Video of the Week: VUM - "Savage"
Thank you neotomic for this review of the Savage video!
I don’t think I’m alone when I say I’m still recovering from how mind-blowingly awesome VUM’s new album Night Sun was. If you haven’t had a chance to listen to this rare slice of brilliance/buy yourself a copy, not only do I say shame on you, but either way you can now introduce yourself…

VUM’s “SAVAGE” VIDEO Premiere on Amoeba.com!
Prism-Beast under the NIGHT SUN
April 11, 2012, Noon
Secret Lodge Recordings is very excited to announce the premiere of VUM’s new music video, Savage, on Amoeba’s well-loved music blog, http://www.amoeba.com/blog/, next Wednesday, April 11th, 2012! Set in L.A.’s deep canyons, Savage’s psychedelic hunt tracks the unlikely pairing of man and prism-beast through craning oaks, lush fields, and optical illusion. This concept was envisioned by Los Angeles filmmaker Michael Frost who has been working with the duo ever since he fell in love with their first album, Strange Attractor.
The haunting LA Noir sound of VUM echoed from the stage at Amoeba Hollywood on Monday 3/12. See the rest of the photos here.
Free download of “Savage” by VUM.
